The itinerant weakly helimagnetic compound MnSi has been investigated
from zero-field NMR measurements on the nonmagnetic Si-29 sites in the
ordered state under hydrostatic pressure up to 17.8 kbar. The charact
eristic evolution of the resonance spectrum and the nuclear relaxation
time T-1 is addressed with increasing pressure. Our results show clea
rly the existence of a remaining local magnetic order above the critic
al pressure P-c = 14.8 kbar. From 1/T1T = const. relation at low tempe
rature, we extract information concerning the evolution of the density
of states at the Fermi level N(epsilon(F)) as function of pressure. (
