Magnetization and specific heat have been measured to determine the ma
gnetic field versus temperature phase diagram of CsNi0.98Fe0.02Cl3. Th
e obtained phase diagram is different from those of the pure CsNiCl3 w
ith easy-axis anisotropy and of CsMnBr3 with strong easy-plane anisotr
opy, but has features of that predicted for weak easy-plane anisotropy
by Plumer et al. A novel phase boundary suggested from neutron diffra
ction was found to be detectable by magnetization but not by specific
