Abstract
The near-normal incidence reflectivity of cleaved DyP and DyBi single crystals has been measured between 0.03 and 12 eV. Using the Kramers-K ronig relation, the optical conductivity, the dielectric function and the effective number of carriers contributing to optical transitions h ave been derived. impressive agreement is obtained with spectra comput ed on the basis of a LMTO full-potential band-structure calculation wi thin the local density approximation.
