Abstract
Pr6Fe13Si crystallizes with La6Co11Ga3-type tetragonal phase (space gr oup I4/mcm) by annealing the are-melted buttons at some temperatures i n the range 550-750 degrees C. The Curie temperature of Pr6Fe13Si is 3 98 K, and the compensation temperature is 366 K. The values of spontan eous magnetization at 1.5 K, 0.3 mu(B)/f.u. The magnetocrystalline ani sotropy is easy c-axis at room temperature and the anisotropy field is 3.5 T. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
