Gd-155 and Gd-157 NMR of intermetallics GdGa2-xAlx has been observed a
t low temperature for x less than 0.5. The spectra were spread very br
oadly from 10 to 110 MHz due to large electric held gradient and quadr
upole moments of gadrinium nuclei. In comparison of the observed spect
ra with the simulated ones, we obtained the best-fitted hyperfine fiel
ds and electric held gradients. The obtained hyperfine fields are a li
ttle larger and the electric held gradients are a little smaller than
those obtained by Gd-155 Mossbauer effect measurement. (C) 1998 Elsevi
