Abstract
The interface resistances of magnetic multilayers are calculated witho ut an adjustable parameters by combining first-principles electronic s tructure calculations with the Boltzmann equation. The microscopic mec hanism of specular interface scattering in combination with diffuse bu lk scattering can largely explain the experimentally observed values f or the interface resistances of Co/Cu multilayers.
