Abstract
We report on exchange coupling properties in sputtered Fe(40 Angstrom) /Cr(t)/Fe(40 Angstrom) trilayers. By fitting Brillouin light scatterin g, ferromagnetic resonance and magneto-optical Kerr-effect data to the oretical expressions, the exchange coupling parameters J(1) and J(2) c an be reliably extracted. We have found that the ratio J(1)/J(2) in th e first negative peak is much bigger than recently reported. The FMR l ow-temperature measurements show a behavior which depends on the Cr la yer thickness. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
