Abstract
The mean long-wavelength acoustic-mode Gruneisen parameter of a Cr + 0 .84 at% Ga alloy single crystal is reported as a function of temperatu re. Magnetic effects in this crystal give rise to large mean vibration al anharmonicity of the acoustic phonons in the vicinity of the Neel t ransition. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
