Ml. German et al., EFFECT OF THE BOUNDARY SHAPE OF A VOLUME TAKEN BY ABSORBING, RADIATING, AND SCATTERING MEDIA ON THE DENSITY DISTRIBUTION IN INCIDENT RADIATION FLUXES, High temperature, 36(1), 1998, pp. 125-130
The effect of the shape of a region on the density distribution of rad
iation fluxes incident on its boundary surface is studied. Closed two-
dimensional regions, filled with selectively absorbing, radiating, and
scattering media are treated. The distribution of the radiation flux
density is analyzed for different values of the Schuster criterion, op
tical density of the medium, temperature distribution therein, and the
blackness of the boundary surface. The boundaries of the regions are
assumed to be diffusely reflecting and radiating.
