Abstract
The layer and the Born approximations are used to compute the change i n impedance of a coil due to a volumetric flaw. Computational results are compared with experimental data found in the literature, It is sho wn that, in general, the layer approximation better fits the experimen tal points, However, the error depends on the other parameters of the problem.
