Abstract
In the present study sugar industry effluent was used in undiluted for m for evaluating its effect on chlorophyll content and dry matter prod uction of wheat (Triticum aestivum var. lok 1) and gram (Cicer arietin um L var. Ujjain 21). Both total chlorophyll and dry matter was increa sed by irrigating the wheat crop with effluent. However, total chlorop hyll content and dry matter production of gram was adversely affected with effluent irrigation.
