We demonstrate that in the presence of pinning a simple relation exist
s between Nernst and Seebeck coefficients and the resistivity tensor,
based on the vortex equation of motion and the two-fluid model. Thus t
he combination of the electric and thermoelectric transport experiment
s can be used to test the basic models for the vortex dynamics in supe
rconductors. Then we show how two different vortex dynamics models can
be subjected to these tests. We find that the vortex dynamics model w
ithout various normal fluid drag forces is consistent with those exper
iments, and that the alternative model with those drag forces is not.
