O. Martin et al., SOFFER INEQUALITY AND THE TRANSVERSELY POLARIZED DRELL-YAN-PROCESS ATNEXT-TO-LEADING ORDER, Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 57(5), 1998, pp. 3084-3090
We check numerically if Soffer's inequality for quark distributions is
preserved by next-to-leading order QCD evolution. Assuming that the i
nequality is saturated at a low hadronic scale, we estimate the maxima
l transverse double-spin asymmetry for Drell-Yan muon pair production
to next-to-leading-order accuracy.
