The experimental data of the spatial component of heat deposition in b
eryllium, carbon, aluminium, iron, copper, bismuth, and lead targets b
ombarded by protons in the 0.8-1.2 GeV energy range are analysed. The
targets with 0.2 m diameter in the 0.3-0.6 m thick range were used in
experiments. The experimental data of the heat deposition density mere
obtained by ZOMBE calorimeter. A brief description of the facility co
nstruction, measurement blocks, principles of calorimetric data taking
, and results of calorimetric experiments are presented.Physical appro
ximation of the spatial component parameters are found by using the le
ast-squares method. Dependencies of parameters from radiation length,
matter density, inelastic interaction length, and other physical param
eters are given for the region of proton release energy. (C) 1998 Else
