Abstract
We study the steady-state behavior of the trimolecular reaction A + 2X reversible arrow 3X on a 2-d square lattice. By viewing the system as a kind of a percolation problem and finding a rigorous value for the percolation threshold, we show that a single asymptotic state is recov ered starting from any non-zero concentration of X-particles, unlike o n a number of lattices with lower dimensionality and/or coordination n umber.
