Abstract
We explain the newly described QPASS (Quadrupolar Phase Adjusted Spinn ing Sideband) pulse sequence (Massiot et al. 1997) that opens a way fo r obtaining better resolved NMR spectra of half integer quadrupolar nu clei undergoing large second order quadrupolar broadenings like Ga-71. This two dimensional experiment is based on the modulation of each sp inning sideband by its order with nine pi pulses, from which an infini te spinning rate sideband free spectrum can be reconstructed.
