Abstract
A quantum mechanical formalism for molecular anapole moments is develo ped. London-model calculations show that toroidal carbon frameworks su pport both permanent and induced anapole moments arising from pi-elect ronic, through-bond currents; dipolar flow in a chiral toroid implies an anapolar component.
