We address the important problem of excitation of gap solitons of a pa
rametric nature, which are sustained in periodically corrugated freque
ncy-doubling media near Bragg resonance with both the fundamental freq
uency and its second harmonic. ae demonstrate that a zero-velocity sol
iton can be trapped in a finite Bragg structure by the quiescence of t
wo counterpropagating moving solitons, which in turn might be formed b
y injection of appropriate light pulses at a single carrier frequency.
