Abstract
The phase diagram of the CPyCI/1-BuOH/H2O ternary system has been esta blished. The system presents a two-phase region along the water/alcoho l axis. It consists of a clear isotropic and low viscous region, which extends from the water-rich corner to the alcohol-rich corner, the L phase, and two liquid crystalline mesophases that have been characteri zed as hexagonal, H-1, and lamellar, L. The L phase has been studied b y means of conductivity. (C) 1997 Academic Press.
