Abstract
This paper presents a mathematical model for simulating electrochemica l chloride extraction from concrete. The model considers the effects o f ionic concentrations on diffusion and migration of charged ions. The transport equations of charged ions under the influence of an externa lly applied electrical field in concentrated solutions are derived. Nu merical results are shown and they are compared with experiments. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
