Abstract
Frequency spectra of the thermoelectrochemical impedance (TEI) under n early equilibrium conditions are presented. The spectra are calculated with an allowance made for every effect caused by nonisothermic heati ng of the electrode surface. In the absence of the current, the TEI,I spectrum in the complex plane is represented by two arcs whose interce pts on the real axis yield Peltier heats corresponding to different po rtions of the equivalent circuit. From the frequency spectra of the TE I kinetic component, associated with a direct current flow, activation energies for the charge-transfer reaction and diffusion, as well as t he temperature coefficient of the diffusion layer thickness can be fou nd.
