Abstract
Thermal oxidation of gas-phase high-density polyethylene in the course of preparation of coatings from melt in the presence of some primary aromatic amines was studied by IR spectroscopy, gel-permeation chromat ography, kinetics of oxygen absorption, and differential thermal analy sis. Antioxidant properties of primary aromatic amines were studied. T he influence of these amines on the chemical structure of the polyethy lene coating was demonstrated.
