Abstract
We have studied the effects of colored multiplicative noises incorpora ted into the damping and the frequency term on the decay ratio (DR). I t is clarified that the colored multiplicative noises can induce a lon g-time correlation and non-stationarity (random switching between unst able state and stable one) which give rise to the estimation errors of the DR.
