Research in Nepal, conducted in 1991-1992, yielded interesting informa
tion on issues confronting nurse educators in that country What this a
uthor found particularly interesting is that, while the specific probl
ems were different, the underlying nursing education issues were remar
kably similar to those encountered by nurse educators in her home coun
try of Canada. Data from questionnaires, interviews, and government an
d other documents have been synthesized in this discussion of issues i
n nursing education in Nepal. Categories for discussion include studen
ts, faculty, curriculum and institutional constraints.
