Ja. Valles et Jm. Alvarez, TRIPLE-RESONANCE METHOD FOR THE DETECTION OF HYPERFINE TRANSITIONS INHEAVY-ALKALI METALS, Journal of physics. B, Atomic molecular and optical physics, 31(4), 1998, pp. 657-676
The triple-resonance method for the detection of hyperfine transitions
in heavy-alkali metals is studied theoretically. The evolution equati
ons of the reduced fictitious tensorial components of the dressed-atom
density matrix in an extended fictitious formalism are determined and
solved for the stationary state. Illustrative numerical examples of d
ressed-caesium are included. Previously unexplained triple-resonance e
xperiments on rubidium and caesium are interpreted in detail.
