Abstract
The total amount of solvent extracts by SFE was determined in 7 vulcan ized rubbers with different polarity. For comparison the rubber materi als were extracted in accordance with DIN ISO 1407 (conventional metho d). The extracts were specially prepared and then the amount of antiox idants was analyzed offline by HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatog raphy) under defined conditions. The results of SFE and conventional s olvent extraction (Soxhlet extraction) are comparable, but the SFE off ers more advantages.
