Abstract
Pr Henri Baruk is one of the most important french psychiatrist in thi s century. His achievements in experimental psychiatry, specially with experimental catatonia, are well known. The emphasis on etiological t reatments and the attention to ethics led to condemnation of some blin d treatments. He insisted on the moral aspects of mental diseases.
