A. Kosa et al., APPLICATION OF ALUMINA COLUMN FOR THE PURITY CONTROL OF MONOTETRAZOLIUM AND DITETRAZOLIUM SALTS, Chemia Analityczna, 43(1), 1998, pp. 107-116
The purity of the 16 mono- and ditetrazolium salts were studied on an
alumina column in various eluent system such as: mixture of 1,4-dioxan
and acetonitrile, 2+98 v/v, and mixture of 1,4-dioxan, methanol and c
arbon tetrachloride, 2+88+10 v/v, using the diode array detection to c
haractarize the impurities. Stepwise regression analysis was applied t
o find molecular parameters significantly influencing the retention of
the main components. Alumina support was suitable for the separation
of mono-and ditetrazolium salts, and the applied methods were appropri
ate for the purity check of the investigated compounds. The results of
stepwise regression analysis indicates that different molecular param
eters influence the retention in the eluent systems.
