MULTIDIMENSIONAL PERFORMANCE-MEASUREMENT

Assessing performance in today's complex health care environment prese nts a challenge to the nursing profession. In order to effectively eva luate performance within this complex and evolving health care environ ment, evaluation from multiple sources is required. This article descr ibes a multidimensional performance measurement model that has patient care delivery at the center. This model maybe used to evaluate perfor mance of an individual provider or of an entire health care system.
