Abstract
In this paper, we describe the synthesis of new highly fluorinated die poxides from diols of general formula HOCH2(CF2)(n)CH2OH which are not often used in organic synthesis because of their strong acidity, resu lting in poor reactivity towards polyaddition and polycondensation. Th ese highly fluorinated diepoxides are obtained by condensation of thes e diols with epichlorohydrin, in basic medium and with the phase trans fer catalyst, tetrabutylammoniumhydrogenosulfate.
