Abstract
Novel dinuclear complex species A(4)[(UO2)(2)(C5H7O2)F-7(H2O)(2)]. 5H( 2)O (A=NH4 or K) have been synthesised from the interaction of UO3 and AHF(4) (A=NH4 or K) in the presence of acetylacetone (C5H8O2). Spectr al evidence for terminal and bridging fluorides are provided. Thermogr avimetric study augmented the two different fluoride binding modes. Th ermal access to an oxofluorouranate (VI), NH4[UO2F3(H2O)], species is demonstrated. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
