Solubility and refractive indexes of the saturated solutions of the ti
tled system at 30 degrees C have been studied and the corresponding eq
uilibrium diagram and refractive index diagram were constructed. Both
solubility curves and refractive index curves of the system consist of
three branches, corresponding to BAPHDCA, La(BAPHDCA)(2)(ClO4)(3) . 4
H(2)O and La(ClO4)(3) . 8H(2)O respectively. La(BAPHDCA)(2) (ClO4)(3)
. 4H(2)O is a new compound. It was characterized by IR spectra, TG-DTG
, X-ray powder diffraction,as well as chemical and elemental analyses.
