The coupling of two identical chemical oscillators containing B-Z reag
ents and modelled by the Oregonator model is examined. The coupling, u
nlike our previous work, is only via the cerium component, while other
species are not coupled. Formation of spatial and temporal inhomogene
ities is found. Transitions from spatial homogeneous steady state to i
nhomogeneous one, and then to spatial homogeneous and inhomogeneous os
cillations are examined. Analysis of the system as a function of the c
oupling late and the stoichiometric factor leads to a number of region
s in which different patterns are observed. The feasibility of experim
ental verification of these steady states and oscillations is discusse
d.
