Abstract
Recent work with predictive control strategies has shown that the stab le GPC (SGPC) approach has significant computational and numerical adv antages. However, SGPC is cast in the transfer function framework whic h limits its application. Here we develop a means of extending the res ults to state-space models and show that improved numerical conditioni ng can be obtained for many stable-predictive control strategies.
