Abstract
A rare species of rust fungus Puccinia komarovii TRANZSCHEL was isolat ed from Impatiens parviflora DC., growing wildly in several localities of Slovakia. The distribution, biology and ecology of the rust fungus is reported. Besides this, the rust fungus originated from the Male K arpaty Mts (West Slovakia) is also described for pathogenicity and mor phological characters.
