Abstract
Late coronary aneurysm formation was observed following treatment by d irectional coronary atherectomy. Intravascular ultrasound disclosed th at the mechanism involved was plaque rupture. The cause of coronary an eurysm may be multifactorial after coronary interventions. Intravascul ar ultrasound imaging is useful for understanding the pathologic mecha nism of coronary aneurysm production. (C) 1997 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
