Sa. Belkov et al., SPECTRAL MEASUREMENTS OF SOFT-X-RAY EMISSION FROM THE LASER-PLASMA OFINDIRECT-DRIVE TARGETS IN THE ISKRA-5 FACILITY, Plasma physics reports, 24(2), 1998, pp. 133-135
Results of spectral measurements of X-ray emissions from the spherical
cavity of an indirect-drive target in the quantum energy range 0.2-3.
0 keV are presented. Measurements are carried out for various target s
izes and for various materials of the converter covering the inner sur
face of the cavity. Spectra are measured by broad-band spectrometers w
ith semiconductor or vacuum X-ray diodes and K-filters and by a narrow
-band spectrometer with multilayer X-ray mirrors and crystals. The res
ults of measurements are recorded on film. It is shown that the total
energy and spectrum of X-ray emission from these targets depend substa
ntially on the cavity diameter and the atomic number of the converter
material. The experimental data are compared with the calculation resu
lts.
