Abstract
A patient with nasopharyngeal carcinoma developed atypical parapharyng eal-lesion syncope syndrome associated with stereotypical cycles of he art rate variation, which occurred only when he was drowsy before fall ing asleep. Vagal tone fluctuation is implicated.
