Pt/SO4,(2-)-ZrO2 calcined at 873 K shows the same catalytic activity f
or n-hexane isomerization as the calcined and reduced sample. A platin
um reduction peak did not appear in the TPR profile and the presence o
f Pt-0 was detected by XPS on the only calcined Pt/SO4,(2-)-ZrO2. Neve
rtheless, this calcined material does not show hydrogen chemisorption
and cyclohexane dehydrogenation activity.
