Abstract
Four polynuclear complex compounds containing Cr(III) and Zn(II): [CrZ n2(HCOO)(6)(H2O)(2)]HCOO.6H(2)O, [CrZn(HC00)(5)].4H(2)O, [Cr2ZnO(HCOO) (6)(H2O)(3)], and [Cr3Zn(HCOO)(8)(H2O)(6)](OH), were obtained. These c ompounds were characterised through elemental chemical analysis, elect ronic, IR and RPE spectra, magnetic measurements and thermal analysis. The oxotrinuclear compound [Cr2ZnO(HCOO)(6)(H2O)(3)] is a precursor o f ZnCr2O4.
