Abstract
Open-configuration MR imaging systems provide new possibilities for di agnosis and treatment of conditions in the urinary tract. Flexible pat ient positioning facilitates urodynamic imaging, and open access permi ts surgery or minimally invasive procedures to be performed with the p atient in the MR scanner. Integrated, interactive navigational tools f acilitate MR imaging-guided interventions, and MR imaging may ultimate ly be used to monitor and control thermal ablation therapy.
