Abstract
A tank degasser has been commissioned in 1994 at the Sollac Florange s teel plant. After three years of production, this unit produces many d ifferent grades : ultra-low carbon grades for IF steel and ultra-low h ydrogen steels for rail grades. The production is now about 60 to 70 k t per month of decarburized grades for slab continuous casting and 25 to 30 kt per month of dehydrogenized grades for bloom continuous casti ng.
