THE ULTRASOUND APPEARANCES OF INTRATESTICULAR VARICOCOELE

Extratesticular varicocoele is a common clinical finding, with well re cognized sonographic appearances. We report the ultrasound findings in a patient with intratesticular varicocoele (ITV), an extremely rare e ntity, which was an incidental finding during scrotal sonography. Ther e are differences in both the imaging findings and clinical presentati on from previously reported cases. The history of undescended testis a nd subsequent orchidopexy in our patient contribute to the aetiology o f the ITV.
