Abstract
1,5,9-Triethyl-1,5,9-triphosphacyclododecane ([12]ane-P3Et3, L) reacts with NiBr2 to afford the salt [NiLBr]Br which is shown by X-ray cryst allography to have an unusually distorted structure as a result of con straints imposed by the ligand L.
