Abstract
Parallel measurements were made of antithrombin III and natural antibo dies to it in the serum of donors and patients. Latex agglutination an d enzyme immunoassay were used. These parameters were found diminished in 30% and 50% of patients with ischemic heart disease and peritoniti s, respectively. The fall of the above concentrations correlated with clinical symptoms and are diagnostically significant.
