Functional activity of neutrophil granulocytes (NG) was studied 1, 24
and 96 hours alter a single immunization of laboratory mice with polyv
alent antigen - sheep red cells (SRC). It is shown that SRC immunizati
on induces significant changes in the NG system, primarily of a depres
sive nature. The most pronounced depression of the number of circulati
ng NG and their main functions (receptor, phagocytic, microbicidal sys
tems) occurred 1 hour after SRC introduction as well as at the peak of
IgM-antibody genesis (the 5th day). Thus, mice immunized with this an
tigen, may serve the model of NG system experimental immunodepression.
