Abstract
The iminophosphane (Me3Si)(3)C-P=N-Mes (1) reacts with iodine to form the imino(methylene)phosphorane I-P(=N-Mes)=C(SiMe3)(2) (2). Upon su bsequent treatment with AgCl, the corresponding chloro derivative 3 is obtained.
