We used the multitracer technique to study the transfer of several rad
ionuclides to two mushroom species. Radionuclides accumulated in the f
ruiting bodies of the mushrooms in the order of Rb-83 > Zn-65 > Mn-54
> Na-22 > Se-75 and Sr-85 > Co-60 > Y-88, Rh-102, Ce-139, Pm-143,Pm-14
4, Gd-146,Gd-153 and Lu-173 > Hf-175. The concentration ratio values f
or Rb-83, Zn-65 and Mn-54 in the fruiting bodies were more than 10, wh
ereas those for Co-60, Y-88, Rh-102, Te-121m, Hf-175 and the rare eart
h elements were less than 1. There were major differences in the accum
ulations of the alkali elements.
