Abstract
In this study, the levels of catecholamines and their metabolites alon g with tetra- and octa sulphated cholecystokinins are reported in the cerebrospinal fluid of healthy subjects and patients with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebrovascular disorders, tuberculous an d aseptic meningitis. The accumulated results also showed linear relat ionships of noradrenaline and dopamine with tetra- and octa sulphated cholecystokinin respectively. These results may be useful for understa nding of cotransmission between amines and neuropeptides, and the resu lts may be considered in the design of a therapeutic strategy.
