Abstract
When ovules from continental apricot cultivars growing in two climatic areas were compared at anthesis, small differences in the degree of d evelopment were found. All ovules examined at anthesis showed an impor tant delay in development, being mostly immature. Ovule development co uld not explain by itself the differences in fructification of contine ntal cultivars found between the two locations.
